How I Became a Website Designer (My Story)
I didn’t set out to become a website designer.
When I first started my own business, I spent three years on a platform I didn’t understand, with a website I didn’t feel empowered to update or control. The back end felt overwhelming, and whenever I needed support, I had to ask someone else to do it and of course pay every time I need even the most simplistic update. So…. I knew I needed to change platforms to a website design tool that was equally as beautiful and functional but without the need for coding knowledge…. After hours and hours of research and calls/messages to most people I knew who had a website I KNEW I needed to transfer to Squarespace. The only thing was…. at the time I had invested so much in other avenues of my business and I simply could not afford over £3k for a simplistic website.
So I did what many small business owners end up doing:
I learned it myself.
I spent thousands of hours understanding design, structure, flow, copy, branding, user experience, SEO, and what makes a website feel like “home” for someone’s work. I built and rebuilt my own site, then began creating sites for clients — each time refining, simplifying, and strengthening the process.
What surprised me is how much I loved it — and how naturally it combined my strengths in communication, creativity, clarity, and design.
Now, I offer this work because I know how transformational it is to have a website you feel proud of, and one you feel empowered to manage yourself WITHOUT IT COSTING YOU THE EARTH!

So at the end of every project, we have a 1-hour empowerment call, where I teach you how to make the basic edits you’ll most often need in your business.
You’ll learn how to:

• update text
• change images
• adjust pricing
• add offerings or products
• make simple layout changes
• post blogs or updates
You should never have to keep paying someone every time you want to tweak your website..
